Ube is a purple root vegetable from the Philippines, with a soft texture and subtle notes of vanilla and hazelnut.
But most importantly, in powdered form, it brings real benefits to your daily life:
At Lilaya, our ube comes directly from a committed farm. A 100% natural powder, locally processed, ready to elevate your lattes, cakes, or other recipes. Combining pleasure, calm, and wellness in your daily life.
“The drink everyone is talking about, set to replace coffee and matcha”
according to major media outlets :
It all started during a trip to the Philippines.
We were looking for a change of scenery. We found so much more.
We discovered a surprising purple root called ube.
A naturally sweet taste, a magical color...
But more than anything, we discovered faces. Hands. A story.
A young woman had planted this root for her mother,
just so she could enjoy it all year round,
not only when blowing out birthday candles.
That gesture moved us deeply.
So we decided to share ube here in France,
to build a bridge between two worlds:
the Philippines and Europe, the earth and the kitchen, care and creativity.
That’s how Lilaya was born:
a committed, human, and responsible brand
inviting you to add a touch of magic to your everyday recipes.

Ube is a purple yam native to the Philippines. Its vibrant violet flesh hides a unique flavor: smooth, vanilla-like, with a hint of hazelnut. Widely used in Asian desserts like ice cream, mochi or jams, we offer it here as a fine powder – easy to use in lattes, pastries or creative recipes, with a touch of magic.
It’s a soft, comforting flavor, somewhere between vanilla and hazelnut. Not too sweet, not overpowering – just enough character to elevate your recipes without masking other ingredients.
Ube has a naturally mild sweetness but contains no added sugar. It brings a subtle vanilla and hazelnut note, perfect for balanced recipes with a low glycemic index. A gentle kind of indulgence.
Yes, naturally. Ube is a root vegetable – free from gluten, lactose and added sugar. It suits all diets, even the most sensitive ones.
Just one ingredient: pure ube, dried and finely ground. That’s what gives it its natural color, gentle taste and nutritional benefits.
The farm we work with is certified organic in the Philippines. However, this certification isn’t yet recognized in France. We’re actively working to get it approved in Europe as soon as possible.
For food lovers, the curious, wellness enthusiasts and creative cooks. It’s also a great alternative to coffee, matcha or sugary drinks – ideal if you’re looking for a softer, more comforting daily ritual.
Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons into hot or cold milk to make a vibrant, creamy ube latte. You can also add it to pancakes, smoothie bowls, yogurts, ice cream or homemade desserts. When you sign up for our newsletter, we’ll send you a free mini recipe guide to get started.
